Chargrilled Tomatoes

4 ripe tomatoes, halved
1 tbsp olive oil
salt, black pepper
Place tomato halves skin side down. Sprinkle with oil, salt and
pepper. Grill according to instructions below. Serve hot or at room
temperature.
Outdoor on the barbecue
Grill over medium-hot coals until lightly charred on the outside
but still firm, 3 minutes per side.
Indoor
Preheat broiler. Broil until lightly charred on the outside but
still firm, 3 minutes per side.
